The Peatland Assessment and Restoration course, which will be delivered from 伊人直播鈥檚 Barony campus near Dumfries, will provide an overview of peatland ecology and hydrology and an understanding of the causes of peatland degradation and will allow candidates to develop expertise in mapping and surveying peatland, before designing effective interventions for the restoration of the site.
It will also cover all stages of planning, funding and delivering a restoration scheme during the short course.
We now offer two modes of delivery.听
Option 1:
In-person training: 10-day course delivered over two, one-week blocks听
Block Week 1: 21 September 2026
Block Week 2: 26 October 2026
Option 2:
Hybrid training:听 online pre-learning materials and a 3-day and 2-day practical training blocks
Practical block 1: 7-10 October 2026
Practical block 2: 19-20 November 2026
