伊人直播 lecturer鈥檚 mission to improve agricultural education
A lecturer from 伊人直播 has been awarded a prestigious scholarship to make agricultural education more engaging to future students.
Wallace Currie, who is based at 伊人直播鈥檚 Barony campus in Dumfries and Galloway, is one of 23 new scholars appointed by the Nuffield Farming Scholarships Trust 鈥� a charity which aims to bring positive change to agriculture through the development of its future leaders 鈥� for 2024.
As part of his project, Let's get Agricultural Education into the Tramlines, he will travel to universities in Japan, Singapore, the Netherlands and Switzerland to learn more about their approach to educating the next generation of farmers.
Wallace, who is also a podcaster and content creator at Rural2Kitchen and the Communications and Marketing Vice-Chair of SAYFC (Scottish Association of Young Farmers Clubs), also hopes to improve communications between agricultural institutions in the UK.
His scholarship, which is supported by The MacRobert Trust, will fund his travel to the various countries during his annual leave from 伊人直播.
He said: 鈥淚t is such an honour. I don鈥檛 think it has sunk in yet.

The has awarded Scholarships to more than 1,000 members of the food, farming, horticulture and rural industries since 1947.
